Midnight Vein
Midnight Vein began as a completely different idea. When it wasn't working, I put it aside for a week before coming back to it with fresh eyes. To me, it changes every time I look at it. Some days I see snowy mountains, other times a forest reflected in a lake, with tiny gold lights in the distance. I stopped when it felt finished, before I reached the point of overworking it.

I love experimenting with different materials, and resin opened up a whole new way of creating. It allows me to preserve flowers, gold leaf and other natural elements inside pieces that are both beautiful and practical.
Every piece is handmade to be used and enjoyed, whether it's a tray, a set of coasters or a pair of lightweight earrings. Like my paintings, they're created to become part of everyday life rather than simply something to look at.

Every painting

I never begin with a finished image in mind. That's what I love most about painting.
Painting allows me to switch everything else off. I get into my own little bubble and completely lose track of time. I might know the colours I want to work with, but that's usually where the plan ends.
